Rural Hospital
The site design uses vegetation on the east and west sides as visual and sound barriers while also providing shade, and courtyards are oriented to remain cool throughout the day. Natural airflow is directed through the layout, with shading elements reducing heat gain and improving comfort near the road and within the building.
The hospital at Beneghat is divided into restricted, semi-restricted, and public zones. Restricted areas include the operation theater, maternity facility, ICU, isolation wards, and service areas, while semi-restricted zones cover casualty, diagnostics, and patient rooms. Public spaces such as the blood bank, administration, outpatient department, and cafeteria are linked through vertical and horizontal circulation across levels. It offers essential healthcare through modern facilities and dedicated care zones, designed sustainably with natural airflow, shaded courtyards, and green buffers to ensure comfort and community well-being
